A bird's nest is found in the woodland grass.

This is a first time find in the Woodland Habitat. This looks like a Promethea Moth, also called the Spicebush Silk Moth. Spicebush, Sassafras , Tulip tree, and Wild Cherry are preferred foods of the larva. The cocoon is always suspended on the food plant, where it can easily be seen in the winter.
